LED Flower Yellow

Make a light up flower with a long tail LED then place it in a rotating vase.

Materials

  • Long Tail LED
  • Wooden Bead
  • CR2032 3V Button Cell Battery
  • Conductive sticker dots
  • Cellophane
  • Tissue Paper
  • Vase
  • Rotating Stand
  • Washi Tape

Instructions

  • Take a long tail LED and thread the wires through a bead. This give more space to stick the decorations on.
  • Select material to make the flower such as cellophane, tissue paper or crepe paper
  • Cut the material to shape and wrap it around the LED wires and bead. Stick it on with Washi tape
  • Add an extra layer of material and wrap the wires with Washi tape
  • Use a conductive sticker dot to attach the end of the red wire to the positive side of the battery
  • Use a conductive sticker dot to attach the end of the black wire to the negative side of the battery
  • Cover the battery in Washi tape to provide insulation
  • Place the flower in the rotating vase

Problem Solving

  • Make sure that the positive side of the battery is connected to the red wire and the negative side is connected to the black wire
  • Make sure that the conductive sticker dot does not reach over the edge of the battery or it will short circuit and not work
  • Make sure that there is enough wire exposed to make a good connection with the battery
  • Make sure that there is enough wire exposed to make a good connection with the battery
